Disney is an international sensation and symbol for fun. Aside from the well-known shows and characters, Disney offers fabulous family-friendly resorts and theme parks. There are two in the US alone- Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Disney also has resorts in Paris and Hong Kong, as well as other overseas sites.

A trip to a Disney theme park can be a dream come true for kids and adults alike.  Parks offer one-day admission tickets or hopper passes if you plan on visiting the park on more than one day, or visiting multiple Disney attractions in the area. Disney has specials such as free admission on your birthday as well. Stay a night in Cinderella’s castle or one of the several Disney hotels.

While visiting the park expect to see a wide range of Disney princesses and life-sized cartoon characters. Make sure to bring a camera as the characters are always willing to pose for a picture. Children may enjoy having an autograph book handy to get the “autograph” of their favorite Disney star.

There are numerous rides for any age group, sure to thrill and excite every park visitor. If you have had your fill of rides, visit downtown Disney and do some shopping or view one of the many parades. There are also several different shows including Disney-themed musicals, Playhouse Disney Live, or the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Shows vary by location.

Adults, have no fear. Disney offers grown-up themed activities, too. Get away from the chaos and relax in a mature atmosphere at the House of Blues. Cirque de Soleil will amaze and excite you as you marvel at the acrobatic talent of the performers.  Downtown Disney also hosts an AMC Treasure Island 24 Theaters Complex, where viewers can watch movies in new, state-of-the-art surroundings.
